The Add to segment action adds a visitor to a chosen segment automatically when the visitor triggers the block during the chat.
ChatBot automatically collects all the visitors who chat with your bot and stores their data in the Visitors section. Segments allow the creation of lists that can be utilized in marketing campaigns, databases, and more.
You can export data collected in Segments via .CSV file and manage them using external applications, or edit in spreadsheets.
Create a segment
Using this action in the bot flow has two parts:

the segment creation so the bot has a place to save the visitor

adding the visitor to the segment - the bot will add the visitor automatically when the block is triggered during the chat.
You can create a segment in two ways:

go to the Visitors section and choose the +Add new button under the Segment section on the side menu. Name the segment. The new segment will be displayed on the list.

open the Add to segment action on your bot flow and create a segment there. Click the option under the segment chooser, then name the segment and click the Create segment button.
Use the Add to segment action in the bot flow
In the bot builder, drag the Add to segment block to the bot flow. Click to edit and choose the segment from the list.
It doesn’t matter whether you add the Add to segment block at the beginning of the path, in the middle of it, or at the end. When the chat is finished, the visitor who completes a particular path will be added to a chosen segment.
